Hi, I am Gabriel Mayowa Kolade, it gives me great joy to introduce to you, Eventyad. Eventyad, as I envisioned it to be, will be your guiding hand to a successful and stress-less event planning.
I have been a wedding and event photographer for the better part of 2 decades. In 2016, I had to shoot a wedding in Benue State. The couple had lived all their adult lives in the south west, so they were alien to the terrain as much as I am. The wedding was a lean budget affair, so it became economically smart for me to hire a second shooter in Makurdi. Days before the event, I began what became a very stressful search for a decent wedding photographer.
That search birthed Eventyad. Considering how huge the event market is, this solution is long overdue. The journey took the better part of 8 years. I started thinking: there should be a platform where connecting with a wedding photographer in Makurdi shouldn't take more than 30 seconds. The same for a makeup artist, a DJ, a competent MC, a decorator, or even an event hall.
I spoke to people in the event industry—most couldn't see it. Some couldn't see beyond their niche, others had tried something revolutionary and failed, while some just couldn't envision it. But the thought kept growing, and I kept putting ink on paper, documenting everything about this solution waiting to be birthed.
